Ancient Terracotta Warriors

Ancient Terracotta Warriors

Grade 4+, High School History

Have you ever wondered how the ancient terracotta warriors were made over 2000 years ago in China? Over 8000 pottery warriors along with life-size horses, chariots, stone helmets, and bronze weapons were first discovered in 1974. After over 40 years of work, excavations still continue today, helping to unlock the mystery of this incredible breadth of work.

Bring your students to learn about the creation of these pieces and other Chinese art and build their own miniature warrior out of clay.

This half day program is recommended for students in grade 4 and up, or for those studying Chinese culture and ancient civilizations.
