Grade 2 - 3

Dandelions and Tiger-lily’s and Berries oh my!

Did you know that clay is actually a type of soil? It is found near water and can be used to make a huge variety of useful things. From bricks to dishes and vases or even sculpture, clay is so important and we actually use it every day.   Learn about plants, soils and animals as they appear on our collection, and make a fantastic clay pot in the form of an animal when you visit the museum. You can actually use your vessel to grow a plant after your visit.

This half day program is recommended from students in grade 2 and 3 but can be adapted for older grades.
