Grade 6 - 8, High School Visual Arts
Ever wonder what contemporary ceramic art looks like? Bring your students to the Gardiner Museum to see for yourself! Incredible works by national and international artists showing optical illusions, appropriation, the vessel, the figure and much more. Learn how these works were made and work with a professional artist to create your own vessel out of clay.
As a full day program, students will get the chance to explore the galleries with an opportunity to sketch, see some audio visual presentations, and handle some artifacts.
This program is recommended for students in grade 6 to 8, high school visual arts students and those studying art history.
