Book Launch & Lecture: Art & Energy, by Barry Lord

Barry Lord, the internationally known museum planner based in Toronto, will introduce his latest book that explores the dynamic relationship between art and energy which is crucial for understanding cultural change. 

Responding will be outstanding photographer and film-maker Ed Burtynsky (famous for both his Oil and his Water series of images) and the media art duo known as Public Studio, along with Toronto Symphony Orchestra CEO Jeff Melanson, and Jesika Briones of the innovation incubator MaRS.

Energy communications consultant John McGrath will moderate the panel. Books will be on sale courtesy of Ben McNally Books

Due to the popularity of the event, we will be setting up a waitlist.  If you are placed on our wait list and tickets are released prior to the event, you will be notified.  Should you not get a seat, we will have a rush line at the Gardiner Museum with seating available on a first-come-first-serve basis.  Otherwise, we will have a live telecast of the launch and discussion in the Gardiner Museum lobby.
