Family Day

Every Sunday

Ever wonder what to do with your family on a Sunday? Well look no further! Join our mascots Arabella, Ting, Clayton and Nicco, and bring the whole family to the Gardiner for family-friendly activities — free with admission! Kids under 12 are always free (with the accompaniment of an adult).

Most activities take place in the lobby, but if you don’t see us when you come in, just ask our friendly front desk staff where they are taking place.

Family Days run from 11 am to 4 pm with activities for children to do on their own or with an adult. Make sure you also check out our discovery boxes, do a scavenger hunt and take some colouring sheets home with you.

We look forward to seeing you here!

SUNDAY OCTOBER 4, 2015  |  11 AM – 4 PM

It is time to welcome the fall, and what a better way to do this than by crafting some fall-themed decoration. Come to Family Day this Sunday and make all sorts of leaves out of clay. Remember to pierce your leaves; there are many ways in which you can display your amazing artwork once it dries.

SUNDAY OCTOBER 11, 2015  |  11 AM – 4 PM

What do you enjoy the most about Thanksgiving? The leaves changing colour, gathering with your family, or a traditional dinner, come to Family Day this Sunday and paint your favorite part of this holiday. We will continue to celebrate the fall by painting with earthy tones. Come and join us!

SUNDAY OCTOBER 18, 2015  |  11 AM – 4 PM

Halloween is around the corner, have you thought of costume ideas yet? This Sunday at Family Day we will prepare for this anticipated date by making clay masks! Pick some spooky features and make the most original Halloween accessory with the help of a potter. See you at the lobby!

SUNDAY OCTOBER 25, 2015  |  11 AM – 4 PM

This Sunday is a tile painting day at the Gardiner Museum. Come to Family Day and join us as we gather and paint with leaves. We will use fall leaves from our plaza as stencils and stamps to play with. Our friendly staff and volunteers will be here to welcome you and provide materials, come and paint at our table!
