Art, Design and Craft in Context Lecture Series
Co-presented by Craft Ontario
Ron Thom and the Allied Arts Lecture
Is 21st-century creativity advancing by using computer-assisted production and digital fabrication? Or are the most vital ceramic forms made by those with expertise in the medium?
By looking at specific examples that lie at the intersection of art, design and craft, and evaluating the tools at our disposal, this presentation will assess the interdisciplinary nature of “post-digital” ceramics as well as what we usually perceive to be traditional disciplinary strengths.
