Family Day

Every Sunday

Free with Admission

Ever wonder what to do with your family on a Sunday?  Well look no further! Join our mascots Arabella, Ting, Clayton and Nicco, and bring the whole family to the Gardiner to family-friendly activities — free with admission! Kids under 12 are always free (with the accompaniment of an adult).

Most activities take place in the lobby, but if you don’t see us when you come in, just ask one of our friendly volunteers where they are taking place.

Family Days run from 11 am to 4 pm with activities for children to do on their own or with an adult. Make sure you also check out our discovery boxes, do a scavenger hunt and take some colouring sheets home with you.

We look forward to seeing you here!

Upcoming Family Days:

APRIL 6, 2014
CLAY WITH JESSICA

Did you know that the World Health Organization marks April 7th as World Health Day?  What are you doing to stay healthy? Is it the food that you eat, or maybe the game that you play?  Work with Jessica, a Ceramic Artist to sculpt your favourite healthy food or create your favourite sport activity out of clay.  Exercise those hands and creative minds to promote World Health Day!

APRIL 13, 2014
PAINTING TILES

Earth day is coming up fairly soon! Why not get a heads start in painting a tile to celebrate earth day! Whether it’s planting a garden, or creating compost, or reusing found objects to create something new, let us know what you’re doing to help the environment.  Remember those three R’s?

APRIL 20
CLAY WITH JESSICA

Happy Easter! Easter is a great time of the year to do an egg hunt. Everywhere Easter eggs are hidden and so many children have to look.  Create your own clay Easter egg for your friends and family to find and why not make a basket or a bunny with it with the help of Ceramic Artist, Jessica!
