Gardiner Museum Cafe Welcomes a la Carte Kitchen

TORONTO – April 3, 2013 – The Gardiner Museum announces that as of May 1, 2013,
à la Carte Kitchen, Inc. will become the Managing Caterer at the Museum, running the Gardiner Café and offering special events catering.

After a brief closing, starting on April 29, the Gardiner Café will re-open on Tuesday, May 7 with a full-service menu, seven days a week, during Museum hours. In addition, à la Carte Kitchen, Inc. will be the official caterer for Spring Awakening, Gardiner in Bloom - Cocktail and Oyster Gala Reception, along with Rodney's Oyster House on Thursday, May 2.

Jamie Kennedy Event Catering, as one of the preferred caterers for events at the Museum, will continue to provide Museum clients with their expertise.

“I am pleased to announce à la Carte Kitchen, Inc. à la Carte Kitchen, Inc. will begin offering a full lunch service to Museum guests starting May 7,” said Karen Sheriff, Chair, Gardiner Museum Board of Trustees. “It has been a pleasure to work with Jamie Kennedy and the Museum looks forward to continuing the mutually rewarding association with him as he continues to remain as one of our preferred event caterers.”

“We are delighted to be working with the Gardiner Museum and look forward to a great season ahead,” added à la Carte Kitchen’s, Executive Chef and Partner Simon Kattar.

A stunning, minimalist space with floor-to-ceiling windows, the Gardiner Café is a spectacular venue for any gathering. The Gardiner Museum’s Terrace Room has spectacular views up and down Queen’s Park and across to the Royal Ontario Museum. The restaurant accommodates seated gatherings for up to 100 people and cocktail events for 200 people. Please note, the new telephone line for the café will be 416-586-8086.
