SCENE ON THE PLAZA

Outdoor Summer Art Party Series
launches at the Gardiner Museum
for Five Friday Evenings Only
June 27 – July 25

Weekly-themed events feature live music & DJs, food & drink, and
access to the Gardiner galleries and special exhibition CAMP FIRES

This summer, Yorkville’s Gardiner Museum launches SCENE ON THE PLAZA, a series of five outdoor after-work socials with music, food, drink and art. Kicking off on Friday, June 27, the Gardiner’s street-facing patio will play host to the weekly-themed art parties featuring live music and DJs curated by Do Right! Music, wine by Southbrook Vineyards, beer by Steam Whistle Pilsner, and food by à la Carte Kitchen Inc. The series runs every Friday from June 27 until July 25, from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

“The Gardiner patio is a wonderful place to be on a summer evening, in the best place in midtown at Bloor and Avenue Road,” says Kelvin Browne, Executive Director and CEO, Gardiner Museum. “Scene on the Plaza combines art and a fantastic social experience in one of the most beautiful buildings in Toronto. People can enjoy great music, drinks and food, along with our world-renowned ceramics collection and the special exhibition Camp Fires. There’s no other place like this in Toronto.”

Scene on the Plaza will be 19+ events. Advance tickets are now on sale for $15, and will be $20 at the door.  Cash bar will be available. Access to the galleries and the Gardiner’s current exhibition – Camp Fires: The Queer Baroque of Léopold L. Foulem, Paul Mathieu and Richard Milette – are included.

For tickets, call 416.586.8080 or visit www.gardinermuseum.com/scene.

In the event of rain, Scene on the Plaza will take the party to the 3rd floor Terrace Room, where guests will enjoy outstanding views of downtown Toronto.
