Monday Afternoon Stoneware Combo

This course provides a solid foundation in the processes, technologies, and aesthetics of contemporary ceramics for all levels. Students will explore a wide range of hand-building techniques (pinch-pot, slab construction, coil building, press molding), surface decoration techniques (textures, piercing, add-on clay), and glazing, combined with instruction on the potter’s wheel. Work on a variety of functional and decorative projects that will allow you to explore your own personal style and creativity, while learning the pottery techniques to help you achieve your vision. There is an additional fee of $30 per bag of stoneware clay (10 kg).

Dates: January 31, February 7, 14, 28, March 7, 21, 28, April 4 (no class February 21 or March 14)

Health & Safety

  • All participants must show proof of full vaccination prior to attending your first class. You will be provided with additional instructions upon registration
  • Our class sizes have been reduced and the distance between participants has been increased to allow for physical distancing
  • Masks must be worn at all times in the studios
  • A COVID-19 screening questionnaire must be filled out before each class
  • Studios are sanitized between classes
  • Hand sanitizer is available for your use
  • There are no make-up classes. Please make sure the course you choose works with your schedule

Audrey Mah

Audrey Mah is a contemporary ceramist. She graduated from the University of Waterloo where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts. She continued her studies in ceramic design at the Ontario College of Art where she received a scholarship.
