The Gardiner Museum is open seven days a week! Explore our permanent collection, discover special exhibitions, and get hands-on with clay in our studios. We look forward to welcoming you.
Discover recent work by African American artist Sharif Bey in our lobby. Bey foregrounds African and Afro-diasporic aesthetic traditions and considers the role of historical artifacts removed from their cultures of origin.
Don't wait to sign up for the Gardiner's popular summer camps. New this year, all our week-long sessions are full-day multimedia camps, so kids can draw, paint, sculpt, and more.
Every object in our permanent collection can be accessed through our eMuseum portal. Learn about individual collecting areas, like Italian Maiolica or Modern and Contemporary Ceramics, or search the full collection by keyword. You'll be amazed by what you discover!
Help us continue to offer innovative and engaging exhibitions, programs, and community projects in person and online, as well as plan for the future. Please consider making a donation today.

Pottery on the plaza is back! Visitors of all ages are invited to experiment with clay at our shaded outdoor tables. Take part in a playful and collaborative activity where you’ll mould a human or animal body part out of clay and attach it to another participant’s sculpture to form an imaginative hybrid creature. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
The activity is inspired by our collaboration with Z’otz* Collective, whose work will be featured in our Exhibition Hall from August 12 to September 4 as part of our Community Arts Space. Z’otz* Collective was formed in Toronto in 2004 by three artists of Latin American heritage: Nahúm Flores, Erik Jerezano, and Ilyana Martínez.
The artists use a system of rotation, working on different pieces at the same time and then exchanging them. Intuition and chance drive the process, as they respond to each other’s forms and marks. They converse with one another in a language they invent through the act of creating in community.
