About THIS CLASS
Our drop-in classes are perfect for potters of all levels. Experiment with various hand building, wheel throwing, and decorating techniques, and then take your creations home with you! You’ll have access to an experienced artist instructor in a professional ceramics studio, including a variety of tools, earthenware clay, and more than 70 commercial brushing glazes.
You will need to attend two (2) drop-in classes to create a glazed piece—the first for making and the second for glazing. Firing takes two (2) weeks and is generally done once after making and again after glazing. The minimum firing fee is $5, which can be paid at the Front Desk. The firing fee for works larger than 10 inches is $10. You do not have to fire or glaze your piece.
Picking up your piece
Clay pieces can ONLY be picked up during the following times: Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am – 5 pm
*NO EXCEPTIONS*
Firing takes two weeks to complete, and pieces will be held for an additional 3 weeks. Please check in at the Front Desk and note that there may be a short wait depending on staff availability. We do not provide bags or boxes.
