Corrigan, Curator of Asian Export Art at the Peabody Essex Museum, for a fascinating exploration of the transformative impact that Asian luxuries had on Dutch art and life in the 17th century, offering new perspectives on the Dutch Golden Age and its relationship to Asia.
The Gardiner Museum is among the few museums in the world focused on ceramics, and is one of the most important specialty museums internationally. It houses approximately 4,000 objects, including European porcelain, ceramics from the Ancient Americas, Chinese porcelain, Japanese porcelain, and contemporary ceramics. Experiment with various hand building, wheel throwing, and decorating techniques under the guidance of one of our experienced artist instructors. You’ll have access to a professional ceramics studio, including a variety of tools, earthenware clay, and more than 70 commercial brushing glazes. Exercise your creativity and tap into the benefits of working with your hands.
