Sunday Morning Stoneware Class

Sun August 01 to 22, 2021 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

In this combination class, use stoneware clay, a high-fired non-porous clay, to create durable objects for all kinds of uses, including  decorative, functional, and sculptural pieces.

Dates: August 1, 8, 15, 22

  • 4 sessions
  • Beginner to advanced
  • Ages 18+
  • Stoneware clay
  • $30 per bag of stoneware clay (10 kg)
  • Hand building and wheel throwing (6 wheels available for use)
  • Dipping and commercial brushing glazes

Health & Safety

  • Our class sizes have been reduced and the distance between participants at tables and wheels has been increased to allow for physical distancing
  • You must wear a mask during class
  • A COVID screening questionnaire must be filled out before each class
  • Studios are sanitized between classes
  • Hand sanitizer is available for your use
  • If you want to use an apron, please bring one from home. Alternatively, you can purchase a disposable apron for $1
  • There are no make-up classes. Please make sure the course you choose works with your schedule.

Audrey Mah

Audrey Mah is a contemporary ceramist. She graduated from the University of Waterloo where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts. She continued her studies in ceramic design at the Ontario College of Art where she received a scholarship.
