Wheel Throwing and Surface Decoration

Sat July 09 to 30, 2022 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Level: All levels

Learn the basics of wheel throwing and decoration techniques inspired by the pieces in the Museum’s collections. This four-week class is open to all skill levels.

Dates: July 9, 16, 23, 30

Please note the following important information:

Firing: Due to the amount of work being fired over the summer, firing for our Summer Clay Classes will take two weeks. Larger works may take longer than two weeks.

Pick Up: Students will be contacted when your work is ready for pick up. The first round of pick-ups will take place in mid-August and the second round in mid-September. Due to limited storage space, we will only be able to keep the works for several days after the pick-up window has ended.

Labelling: Please make sure your works are clearly labelled with a distinctive signature or marking. This will make your work easier to identify when it’s time to pick it up.

Missed classes: We are unable to offer make-up classes. If you miss a class and would like to complete your work, please sign up for one of our drop-in sessions on Wednesdays, Thursdays (hand building on the plaza), Saturdays, or Sundays.

Ticketing Policy: Please read our Ticketing Policy carefully before you register.
