Alison Brannen
Large and small-scale ceramic vessels and shards make up Alison Brannen’s uniquely beautiful collection of saggar fired “burnt offerings.” Cracked and sometimes shattered by the firing process, Brannen uses the Japanese gold repair method of Kintsugi to mend the vessels. Also an accomplished painter and printmaker, Brannen teaches pottery and Kintsugi workshops in her downtown Toronto studio.
