Juana Berinstein (pronouns she/her or they/them) was born in Argentina, of Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry, and immigrated to Canada in the early 1980s. She now lives in Toronto. Juana has an undergraduate degree in Women and Gender Studies and a Master’s degree in Communication and Culture. In 2019, she completed a one-month artist residency at Medalta in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Her ceramic work has been exhibited in juried shows in Canada and the U.S.
