Description

Gina’s blue and white porcelain tea cups are exquisite and feature Asian porcelain media and Western precious metals. Empowering the user to use the object in everyday life, all pieces are hand painted, hand thrown or hand formed. Each cup includes a box that is not seen in image. All cups will slightly vary in colour, pattern, size and weight.

Material: Porcelain, celadon and underglaze

Care & Use: Tea cups are food and drink safe. Not microwaveable and hand washing is recommended. Avoid abrasive cleaning on gold detail.

About The Artist

Gina Stick

Gina Stick is a ceramic artist whose shifted from architecture to ceramics full-time in 2017. Her works reflect a lifetime of diverse design experience. Born in Queens, New York, she holds a BA in Studio Art and an MA in Architecture. Stick studied ceramics under Walter Ostrom and Joan Bruneau at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and completed three residencies under porcelain decorative masters in Jingdezhen, the renowned porcelain centre of China. She recently received the Craft Year 2020 Juror’s Choice Award. Her work has been exhibited in Canada and internationally at The Beaverbrook Art Gallery in Fredericton, New Brunswick (2019); SOFA Chicago (2017, 2018); and FORM MIAMI. She currently works and resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
