John’s current line of works consists of wood fired pieces. Wood firing an ancient firing technique in Japan shows the effects of the firing process on the surface of the clay. This new line of work is made to use and is aesthetically pleasing. Each piece is hand crafted and will slightly vary in colour, pattern, size, and weight.
Care & Use: Generally high temperature stoneware is extremely durable within all contexts. However, with the fine surface particles it may protrude or flake off through incomplete fusion. As such is the underlying nature of geology and chemistry. Please handle objects with care and hand wash.
