Junichi is inspired by the nature that surrounds him in British Columbia. His Fuji (wisteria) series is made of high-fired stoneware that is hand-thrown and glazed with a beautiful blue colour. Hand crafted each will slightly vary in colour, pattern, size and weight.

Care & Use: Functional ware is intended for use and may be used in the microwave. Hand wash is recommended.

About The Artist

Junichi Tanaka

Junichi Tanaka was born in Japan 1952. From 1989 -1993, he worked with Beth Lo at the University of Montana. He was the Artist in Residence at the Contemporary Crafts Gallery in Portland, Oregon 1996-1997. In 1998, Junichi set up his ceramics studio in Whonnock, British Columbia. He started a wholesale business in 1999 and participates in wholesale shows in Vancouver, Edmonton, and Toronto.
