Maude creates ceramic objects that are utilitarian for every day use and decorative for the home. Inspired by botany and the marine world, she hand throws each piece and carves into the clay the motifs.  Each piece is handcrafted and will slightly vary in colour, pattern, size, and weight.  Please note: The main large image shows one style and colour of the large vase.  This style is coded under one SKU. About The Artist

Maude Blais

Maude was born in the Lower Saint Lawrence, Québec. In 2004, she graduated from the Centre de céramique Bonsecours in Montreal. She has lived and worked in Causapscal in the heart of the Matapedia Valley since 2015. With over 10 years of experience, Blais creates handmade ceramic objects, both utilitarian and decorative, with a simplified aesthetic, prioritizing clean lines and color. Fascinated by the nature that surrounds her, Blais' work is based largely on botany and the marine world.
