Shannon’s works are based on ideas of self discovery through cultural practice. Her works are adorned with tactile designs and inspired by African Scarification. This series of decorative vases called body balls are created by manipulating the walls of her pieces by poking, breaking the surface of the clay and revealing a bumpy texture. Each piece is one of a kind and will slightly vary in colour, pattern, size and weight.
