Toni Losey (1977) is a full-time ceramic artist based in Halifax, Canada, who earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University (NSCAD). Known for her complex, highly saturated organic sculptures, Losey reinterprets common plant life through wheel-thrown, hand-built, and altered ceramic forms. Her layered process—combining intricate construction with colourful, deeply textured surfaces—creates a captivating viewer experience that has earned her international recognition. She has exhibited at major venues such as Collect London, Design Miami, SOFA Chicago, and Ceramic Art London, with work held in collections including Global Affairs Canada, Aberystwyth University Wales, and the Nova Scotia Art Bank. In addition to teaching at NSCAD, she has led workshops worldwide and received several honours, including the Ceramics Monthly Emerging Artist title and special recognition at the Cheongju International Ceramics Biennale.
