Thomas Aitken and Kate Hyde collaborate on a series of objects that unite Thomas’s strong forms and Kate’s interest in colour and surface embellishment. The design in this line of work is both highly practical and visually intriguing. Their eclectic and playful imagery references a variety of sources including the history of ceramics, book illustration, theatre, poetry and textiles. Their newest collection of tulipieres (tulip holder) celebrates the Gardiner Museum’s renovation.
