Description

Alison Brannen is a Toronto artist and educator. She holds a MA in Printmaking from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. She began using clay to create her large sculptural vessels and moon jars 30 years ago, and her current work is inspired by the beauty and vastness of the oceans that she sails on. Her ceramics draw attention to the need for continued ocean conservation.

Care & Use: These unglazed pieces are not intended to hold water or food and are sealed with micro crystalline wax. Wipe away any dust with a clean dry cloth.

Alison Brannen

Alison Brannen is a Toronto-based artist who has been working in clay for 20 years. She creates sculptural works featuring textured surfaces that suggest disintegration, shedding, and falling away. Each piece records the marks of its firing and vary in colour, pattern, size, and weight. Brannen has an MFA in printmaking and photography from the University of New Mexico Albuquerque and a BFA in painting from York University.
