Description
Andrea studied graphic design and illustration at OCAD and graduated in 1990. A few years later, she began to work in clay a few years later at George Brown College. She currently resides in a town called Chatham in Ontario. Settled in a home with yard and a beautiful garden where she grows flowers, plants, fruits and vegetables she is curious of the natural processes but also appreciates the wonder.
Each person’s patterns are a manifestation of their beliefs and habits, priorities that ultimately mold and shape us individually and as a culture. Andrea holds a strong belief that as humans, we need to understand and maintain our connection to the natural world. We are part of it. We need it to thrive and survive and we need to truly see and respect it. These pieces are emblematic of our bodies. They carry the marks of habit.
