Description
Elizabeth graduated from the Maison des métiers d’art de Québec. She has dedicated herself exclusively to creating functional porcelain pieces for over 15 years. In her Quebec City studio, each step of her creative process is executed with meticulous care and attention to detail.
She creates functional porcelain. They are made on a potter’s wheel or in a plaster mold, then fired in a gas kiln.
The interiors are glazed with a copper red glaze, which allows her to achieve color variations through a refined process of monitoring the oxidation and reduction of her glaze by controlling the amount of oxygen in her gas kiln during firing.
