About The Artist

Maude Blais

Maude Blais is originally from Rimouski in the Bas-St-Laurent. She lives and works in Montreal since 1999. After graduating from the Centre ceramic Bonsecours in 2004, she set up her studio in Rosemont. Since then, she has produced a collection of functional and decorative ceramic pieces with simple lines and contrasting finishes. During her career, she won, among others, the price Jeunes Talents Crafts SODEC / OFQJ and the prize of the visual presentation booth at Art du Québec businesses. In 2009, she won the support of the Conseil des arts lettres du Québec for research and creation. Her works are at the Canadian Guild of Crafts, the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition at the Museum of Haut-Richelieu and several exhibitions and events across Canada.
