Description
Wanda Shum is a B.C. grown artist who was formally trained in Electronic Communication Design. She now primarily works with polymer clay, utilising a technique called millefiori. Millefiori, or ‘A Thousand Flowers’ in English, is a traditional Venetian glass art that involves the creation of a cane-like sculpture with fused glass rods that is patterned throughout. Wanda modernises this technique by laying different coloured polymer clays together, and slicing the clay to reveal the intricate patterning inside the cane. Wanda describes millefiori as a medium that combines painting and sculpting.
Care & Use: The earring hooks are hypoallergenic. Please use a damp cloth for cleaning.
