Janet MacPherson was raised in Barrie, Ontario and received her B.A. in Philosophy from York University. She attended the Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning in Oakville for three years where she studied ceramics. She has exhibited work at Harbourfront Centre and The Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art, and currently shows her work at Distill in Toronto as well as The Gardiner Museum Gift Shop. Janet has also participated in many other group exhibitions; including a ceramic pillow exhibition in Hong Kong, called “To Dream the Impossible”. Presently, Janet works from her studio in Toronto that she shares with three other ceramic artists.
