About 12 Trees: Good For The Earth
Over the past 27 years, the Gardiner Museum has celebrated the festive season with its signature fundraising exhibition, 12 Trees, and its central gala event, the G Party. This year’s theme, Good for the Earth, celebrates the very foundations of clay—the Earth. The Gardiner values the one-of-a-kind, careful rather than mass consumption, and the preservation of treasured objects for future generations. Artists were invited to propose tree installations made up of recycled or sustainable materials, that focus on the handmade, or that illustrate something that is, simply, good for the Earth.
