Students will learn the fundamentals of hand building and explore a wide range of techniques, including sculpting, slab building, coiling, surface decoration, and glazing.

Experience the joy and physicality of working with clay on a large scale! Artist-in-Residence Grace Han will share the unique Korean Onggi methods she uses when creating large vessels.

Participants will learn how to water etch their wheel-thrown pieces. Water etching is a decorating technique where a resist design is painted onto clay and wiped away with a damp sponge to create a relief effect. This class is designed for intermediate and advanced students only.
