Introduction to Hand Building

Students will learn the fundamentals of hand building, including sculpting, slab building, and coiling, as well as surface decoration and glazing techniques. This class is designed for beginners to ceramics, but all skill levels are welcome.

Mona Patel
Mona is a young ceramic artist with a Masters of Fine Arts from the Herron School of Art and Design, Indianapolis, IN. She is a maker and has always been interested in creating new things, especially objects which are used in day-to-day life. Mona designs ceramic sculptures inspired by origami and various art and craft techniques from around the world.
