Magnus Hara: The Light of Day

What’s On / Exhibitions / Magnus Hara: The Light of Day

September 18 – November 8, 2026
The Hilary and Galen Weston Foundation Hall. Ground Floor

This exhibition features the work of Magnus Hara, recipient of the 2024 Gardiner Museum Prize, awarded to a graduate of the Sheridan College Ceramics Program. Through alteration and combination of intimately known forms, this collection of vases is a reclamation of joy and autonomy after grief, loss, and injury. Intuitive assemblies of form, pattern, and configuration are used to question and confront the familiar in a dynamic visual language.
