Mosaic Tiles: Stoneware (All Levels)
Thursdays April 2 to May 14, 2026
5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
For ages 18+
Create stunning mosaic art from scratch using stoneware clay. Hand build your own individual tiles, learning techniques to keep them flat and even during the drying process. You’ll use the sgraffito glazing method to carve intricate designs through coloured glazes before assembling your tiles into a finished mosaic piece. This once-fire approach streamlines the process while giving you complete creative control from tile making to final composition. In the final sessions, you’ll mount your tiles on a wooden frame and learn proper grouting techniques to complete your mosaic. This 6-week class is designed for all levels.
This class includes access to one 5kg bag of stoneware clay, as well as glazes and underglazes. Additional bags of clay can be purchased for $18 each.
