Learn & Make / Kids Camps / Summer Camp: Tiny World of Clay (Ages 6 – 8)

Monday August 10 – Friday August 14, 2026
9:00 am – 12:o0 pm

Build a miniature world of clay in this half-day camp! Campers will create tiny versions of everyday objects and spaces in clay, inspired by explorations of our galleries and the imaginative works from around the world in our International Ceramic Art Fair exhibition.

Guided by an experienced artist-educator, campers will practice hand building, sculpting, glazing, and painting sculptures made from clay, and other craft materials. They’ll also strengthen their observation, critical thinking, and communication skills through engaging activities, all while flexing their imagination in a fun and inclusive environment.

About Summer Camp

In our popular summer camps, kids and teens can embrace their creativity through clay and other art materials in our fully equipped pottery studios. They’ll learn new skills—hand building or wheel throwing, and various decorating and glazing techniques—in a engaging and supportive environment. Each camp is taught by our experienced artist-educators, who also guide campers through the galleries to get inspired by the fascinating objects on display.
