Summer Camp: Clay Creatures (Ages 6 – 8)
Monday August 18 – August 22, 2025
9:00 am – 12:o0 pm
Let your imagination run wild in this half-day camp! Campers will journey into the galleries to meet some of the real and mythical creatures in our collection, like a 400-year-old Chinese dragon and an ancient Peruvian musical parrot. Then they’ll use clay and other materials to make their own imaginary beasts in the studio.
About Summer Camp
In our popular summer camps, kids and teens can embrace their creativity through clay and other art materials in our fully equipped pottery studios. They’ll learn new skills—hand-building or wheel-throwing, and various decorating and glazing techniques—in a fun and inclusive environment. Each camp is taught by our experienced artist educators, who also guide campers through the galleries to get inspired by the fascinating objects on display.
