Wheel Throwing (Beginner)

Students will be inspired by wheel-thrown works in the Gardiner Museum’s world-renowned permanent collections to create their own functional and sculptural pieces with earthenware clay and glazes. This course is designed for students new to the pottery wheel.
Important Safety Information: Using the pottery wheel may be harmful to a person who has a pacemaker. Serious injury or death could occur. Consult a physician before using.

Mona Patel
Mona is a young ceramic artist with a Masters of Fine Arts from the Herron School of Art and Design, Indianapolis, IN. She is a maker and has always been interested in creating new things, especially objects which are used in day-to-day life. Mona designs ceramic sculptures inspired by origami and various art and craft techniques from around the world.
