Wheel Throwing: Gardiner Collections (All Levels)

Students will be inspired by wheel-thrown works in the Gardiner Museum’s world-renowned permanent collections to create their own functional and sculptural pieces with earthenware clay and glazes. This class is suitable for all skill levels.

Instructor
Annika Hoefs
Annika Hoefs is a Toronto-based artist and educator, specializing in wheel-thrown ceramics. She holds a Bachelor of Material Art and Design from OCADU where she initially began with a focus on textiles, but ended with a full concentration on ceramics. Since 2015, she has been teaching ceramic classes to students of all ages and skill levels, most recently joining the faculty at the Haliburton School of Art and Design. In addition to teaching, she creates functional and sculptural ceramics that can be seen in gallery shops, restaurants, and luxury hotels.
