Artist Statement:
Human and animal figures have been incorporated into pottery form in many cultures for thousands of years. These ceramic vessels have served as vehicles sustaining life through nutrition, ceremony and aesthetic pleasure. In reference to these historical models we have adjusted and combined our individual ways of working to produce collaborative objects that have the potential to function as containers as well as sculpture. – Bruce Cochrane & Zsuzsa Monostory
