Description

Cuir Ceramics founded by Alejandra Vera is a design studio that aims to produce curious, original, and creative objects bringing together art and craft. Aiming to transform our relationship with objects through purposeful design. The black and white collection produced for the Gardiner Shop explores the gesture of drawing lines and repetition. The designs are inspired by nature and minimalism to invite the viewer to renew their appreciation of functional objects and the space they occupy in their lives.

Please note: The black and white bowls are coded under one SKU.  Dependent upon availability, you may specify the pattern of the bowl in the Order Notes upon completing the purchase. There are two patterns: The circles and the lines.

Care & Use: All objects are microwave, dishwasher safe, and food safe.  For best care hand-washing is recommended.

Material: All objects are made using the best quality porcelains to emphasize their whiteness and translucency. The studio uses different techniques such as wheel-throwing and slip-casting to create the pieces. While the building of the work is methodical the decorations highlight the handmade process by often being loose and involving the element of chance.
