Jacquie Blondin: Large Pinch Pot

Description

Jacquie Blondin is inspired by the subtle geometry of nature. She creates ceramics that balance form and function with harmonious, nature inspired textures and glazes. Each piece is made by hand and varies slightly in weight and colour.

Care & Use: Food safe with commercial glazes that are rigorously tested by the manufacturer. Dishwasher safe but hand washing is recommended to prolong life. Do not use on stovetop or oven cooking. Although you can place the wares in the microwave, certain clay bodies will retain heat more due to the added speckles in the clay. Be sure to use oven mitts.

Jacquie Blondin

Jacquie Blondin is a Canadian artist and educator focused on the art and craft of ceramics. She utilizes printmaking techniques on hand built and wheel thrown tableware and explores volume and scale in her sculpture work. With over 20 years in clay, Jacquie is continually learning and experimenting with new ceramic techniques and joyfully shares her knowledge with her students, peers and online communities. She has exhibited in the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair as well as with several galleries across the greater Toronto area. You can find her work at local pottery sales and at the Gardiner Museum Shop Gallery in Toronto. Jacquie Blondin lives and works in Mississauga, ON.
