About The Artist
Nancy Macnaughton Hilborn
Nancy Macnaughton Hilborn first dug some clay from a creek and made a wobbly pot on a wheel engineered from an old turn table. A couple of years later she pursued clay in earnest and with her husband they bought an old winery in 1982 in Cambridge which is currently their studio today, Hilborn Pottery. Nancy was born and raised in Toronto and educated at University of Waterloo, OCAD, conferences and workshops. Nancy has won many awards. She worked solely on the wheel for five years and then became enchanted with unique functional hand building.
