Nikola’s process is like storytelling. She is drawn to symbols, to the metaphors where layered meaning lies. Archetypes are a rich source from which to explore the human condition. Psychological, spiritual, social and political dimensions can be expressed in poetic form. Through personally constructed allegories she explores what it is to be human, and what is at stake in these complex times we live in.
Care & Use: The platters are for display only. To hang on the wall, there is a wall mounting on the back of the platter.
Material: The decorative stoneware platter uses a line drawing sgraffito technique with a variety of underglazes and glazes.
