Description

Working with clay has brought Shu-Chen much joy in her life. She values the challenge of self-realization through the creative process. While others may write a daily journal, her diary is written with clay. Her specialty is in Raku ware, a type of technique that requires firing pieces at a high temperature and removing them into a open-air container filled, filled with combustible material such as sawdust or newspaper.  The process gives a variety of colour and surface effects making each piece unique and one-of-a-kind.
