February 26  Flamenco with All-Sun Singers!

Join the All-Sun Singers for an afternoon of Flamenco music and activities for children and families! Kids bring you parents and prepare to be entertained! Fun for the whole family!

Flamenco is an art form that has developed over centuries. The songs and dances were originally created as a means for people in southern Spain to communicate their stories and express themselves. Our group studies these songs and dances, and strives to tell our own stories in accordance with the development of flamenco tradition. Our love for flamenco reflects the ups and downs that we experience in life, and we hope that our interpretation and expression of life, through song and dance, speaks to you authentically. ¡Ole!

March 4  Movie and Scavenger Hunt

Join us in the lecture hall and view the movie “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” followed by a scavenger hunt in search for clay objects as they relate to chocolate. Surprisingly there are quite a few! When Willy Wonka decides to let five children into his chocolate factory, he decides to release five golden tickets in five separate chocolate bars, causing complete mayhem. The tickets start to be found, with the fifth going to a very special boy, called Charlie Bucket. With his Grandpa, Charlie joins the rest of the children to experience the most amazing factory ever. But not everything goes to plan within the factory.
