American Southwest

1

The American Southwest collection consists of a few examples from the Ancestral Pueblo cultures in the modern day USA region known as the Four Corners, which includes Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah. Coil-made and simply decorated with geometrical shapes, these vessels date from about 50BC to AD 1600.

Objects in the American Southwest collection were given to the Museum on behalf of the Rath family.
