Gardiner to Close Temporarily

Like many of you, we have been closely following the developments of COVID-19. The safety of our visitors, campers, staff, and volunteers is our top priority.

Upon the advice of Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. David Williams, the Gardiner Museum will close temporarily effective Saturday March 14, 2020. Dr. Williams has ordered the immediate suspension of all gatherings over 250 people because of the risk of contracting the coronavirus (COVID-19).

We have also cancelled all March Break Camps, clay classes, and special events scheduled to take place this month. Participants who have registered for these programs will be contacted directly and refunds will be issued.

We regret the inconvenience that this may cause, but are hopeful that these actions and the actions of our fellow cultural institutions will help maintain the health and safety of our communities. We will continue to take guidance from our public health officials regarding the duration of the closure and will post updates to our website and social media channels as they become available.

We are grateful for your support and thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to navigate this challenging time. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at mail@gardinermuseum.com. Our team will make every effort to respond in a timely fashion.

Sending best wishes to you and your community. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Gardiner soon.
